Mustard Seed began a program issuing micro-loans to individuals wanting to start a small business.  The loans are issued to groups of three.  The group selects a leader who is responsible for collecting the monthly payments from the other group members each month.  The individuals must attend a class on how to start and manage a small business and how to repay their loan before receiving the loan.  In the photo above, three young men are attending a class lead by Pastor Saint Louis on how the repayment process will work.

We have issued eighteen loans over the past five years, with only one ending in default.  These small businesses are currently providing vital income for their owners and their families!
